Brandon O’Connell

Brandon is a final year postgraduate research student (Ph.D candidate) in the Dynamics Research Group (DRG), having joined the group in September 2020 under the supervision of Dr Timothy Rogers and Professor Lizzy Cross. Before joining the DRG, Brandon graduated with a first class honours degree in MEng Aerospace Engineering with a Year in Industry from the University of Sheffield. During his undergraduate, he completed multiple industrial placements gaining valuable industrial experience, including a 3 month placement at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in Composite Machining, and a 15 month placement at Dyson Technology Limited; spending 12 months as a Filtration Research Engineer and 3 months as a Design Engineer in Environmental Control.
