This is another full aircraft wing that is used for structural health monitoring. Unlike its metallic counterpart, it does not have removable inspection panels. However, it does have a fuel tank which can be filled or partly filled in order to simulate the effect of operational and environmental variations (EOVs) for the development of SHM algorithms insensitive to such variations.
